if I am honest it show your level of intelligence just swearing and taring us with the same brush. You obviously read and signed the contract and if you didn't more fool you. You all know what you are signing into and if you can't be bothered to read the terms and conditions then that's your fault. Sometime people look over what they have said and done because they can't except they are wrong. Like the person who is being taken to court. You must. Have agreed the upgrade and new you where signing into a new contract as cpw record every conversation and would not waste there time taking you to court for fun. We are not the largest phone retailer in Europe for nothing.

The ammount of customers i get calling me kicking off when its been there fault is untrue. We provide a good service but if you dont stick to the terms and conditions its not our fault. There there for a reason. It explains all the in and out of the contract, you only would not of read them would of been for 1 of 2 reasons. *You iliterate *or your an idiot Take you pick and stop moaning.


Honestly...
I've worked for the Carphone Warehouse for two years now. I work in the call centre, and despite what most of our customers seem to believe, i'm not an idiot. I have a degree, and there's a credit crunch. Knowing the Carphone Warehouse from the inside, I can honestly say that there's plenty that's wrong, corrupt and needs to be exposed. The way we treat some of our customers is appauling. David, let me guess... you wrote in to disconnect and your letter wasn't received. Years later you were still connected, still being billed and hadn't heard anything from us?

I hate Carphone Warehouse too
I brought an Elonex Webbook from them about 6 months ago after about 2 months I discovered that the charger had eroded exposed wires and was not charging the webbook or small laptop.ould not happen. After such a short space of use this should not happen. Their customer car disconnected about 10 calls I made and said that they had no information about me every time despite that I gave it to them almost every time. I eventually received an email that said that they would pay me if I brought a charger . Il beleive that when I see it! Universal chargers which are my only option (as Elonex are a UK company that do sweet shag all for Irish customer except provide not very durable product ) vary considerably in price and they are my only option 100-50 if they were really intending to pay would they not state a price limit or provide some options?!.

Stupid Fucks
I worked for Carphone Warehouse for a couple of years and found them to be much more than fair with their customers and staff. In some cases I've seen them shell out for replacements that manufacturers/networks wouldn't cover not because they were legally bound to but because they felt it was fair. The only problem I had working there were the small portion of stupid fucks who wouldn't take in or wait to be told the ins and outs of what the fuck they were signing into, then they come back trying to "cancel" their contract or have their water damaged phone replaced as "it's under guarantee". Some advice for all those people: Pay more fucking attention to what you are buying into in store and listen to the person you are buying from when they explain it to you. Then read the terms and conditions as believe it or not most companies will hold you to them. Pay LESS attention to stupid fucking rumours you hear from other idiots about consumer rights and entitlements. If you go back to carphone warehouse with a valid arguement, you will be well treated, if not you will just look like a fucking muppet. And if you are going to spout "facts" about your rights then for fuck sake make sure that's what they are, there's a ton of websites you can check these things out on, don't just believe what your friends wifes cousin who works in a shop said.

I hate the carphone warehouse because I bought a phone there and it broke so I took it back for them to fix and they said they couldn't and I went to pick it up a while later and they said that it had been taken to a warehouse to be recycled and that they could do nothing to help me now


They are criminals
I had a contract from there which I stopped then for about a year later they kept on taking my money. Then my daughter bought a phone there and it broke twice the second time they couldn't fix it and we didn't collect it for ages and then when we went to collect it they said it had been taken to be recycled and they couldn't do anything to help. They said that they could phone a hundred people and it wouldn't make a difference but they didn't try and phone anyone because they are so lazy


any ideas on how to take them down??
They offered me a deal which they didn't stick to, I tried to handle the situation factually and professionally, it took over two months and still no word from them, no apology or anything. They hoped I would just go away eventually. Is there a facebook page for people who hate them?

Worst Customer services Ever
I just cannot believe the level of poor service the CPW provide. I have never come across a company who do as they like by sticking up 2 fingers to us consumers. I ordered a phone from mobiles.co.uk which is part of the carphonewarehouse. The phone was delivered a few days later. However, after using the Motorola Milestone a couple of days, it kept on freezing every time. I called mobiles.co.uk customer services and was told to send it back for a replacement at my cost. I then sent the phone back on the 2nd of March and was subsequently sent replacement number 2 which was delivered to me around 8th of May. After around 6 weeks of using the 2nd replacement Motorola handset, this too developed a fault which my network provider, Orange confirmed when they ran a diagnostics test on it. The problem was that I could hear people clearly but they could not hear me. When I called mobiles.co.uk on the 26th of April, I was told to take the phone into a branch of carphonewarehouse for repairs as I’ve had the phone for more than 28 days and would not be liable to receive a new handset even though I had insurance. I promptly took the phone back to the Tottenham branch and was told it can take up to 2 weeks for the phone to be repaired but possible I can get it back within the 1 week. After waiting for 1 week, I called into the Tottenham Branch to get an update and was informed that the phone had to be returned back to the manufacturer as carephonewarehouse were unable to repair it. I then received a Voicemail message from the Tottenham Branch on the 24th of April advising me to contact them. I went there in person that same day and was informed that my Motorola Milestone was not repairable. Instead they offered me second-hand refurbished choice of a Nokia N900, Nokia n97 or Nokia x6. Unlike many people, i absolutely do not like Nokia phones which is my personal preference. Not only that, i had purchased many accessories for the Motorola and countless software from the Android Market. I had specifically ordered the Motorola Milestone as it has a physical keyboard and Unix based Android operating system which I require for work. Anyway, I made it clear to the manager at the Tottenham branch that I cannot accept downgraded second-hand phones who sent an email to the relevant department who then offered me the a choice between a second-hand refurbished HTC Hero and HTC HD2. Again, neither of these phones will suffice for my needs and are not like for like. Also they are second-hand which means, i’ll only get the phone and a charger with no accessories, CDs etc…. I have written to complaints department through their online portal but was told there’s nothing they can do. More or less telling me to get loss, like it or lump it even though I had pointed out the Supply of goods act 1982. Word for word, this is exactly what i was told when i called complaints department that same day: “if the shop is dealing with it, then why are you calling us?” I felt absolutely disgusted. He was rude and arrogant and seemed like I felt as if I was intruding. I feel very angry at the fact that I have been without a phone totalling around 5 weeks and have only used the phone for about 6 weeks. Yesterday, i signed up to twitter and sent a message to someone who works for CPW customer services and told me to send an email to cpwcares@cpwplc.com. I then received a call within 2 hours. I was told that he’s investigating and put in a search for a replacement phone of my same model. However, this again will be a refurbished one. This is utterly unacceptable given that I have hardly used my phone which was in perfect brand new cosmetic condition as I had purchased a plastic cover and additional screen protection for it. From reading other peoples experiences, I wouldn’t be surprised if i receive a refurbished phone which doesn’t work and full of marks. CPW are a disgusting company to deal with. The thing is that i’ve been ordering my phone from them the last 4 years….never ever ever again!!! I will not let this go and will take them to small claims court as I know CPW are in the wrong. Just angry at the fact that I have to make time to start writing letters/making calls and going through the whole process. If you are thinking of going to mobiles.co.uk or carphonewarehouse to order a new phone, don’t. Even though they may seem cheaper, their non existent customer services will leave you pulling out your hair and all your complaints will fall on deaf ears!!!!

Funny how no body has an i love cpw website, there is like what 50 comments and 250 facebook members, my shop gets over 700 people a day, for those who have had repair phones recycled, YOU CAN READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON YOUR RECIEPT IF U LEAVE IF FOR 3 MONTHS BEFORE U PICK IT UP EXPECT TO GET RECYCLED I work for them and its not pefect, name one large company thats perfect in retail, they all struggle but it least we make an honest attempt to get it right.

It would be funny if wasnt so sad
This company continues to alienate loyal customers. A store manager refused to show me a tariff sheet when I went in to buy a PAYG for a teenage child. He was so rude, obstructive and couldnt care less. The manager was so rude, I blocked a corporate contract worth £2 million over the next three years to them. When they realise that the personal clients that come in to them sometimes have corporate power to stop investment in their company maybe they'll think about their approach to the public. If five people in my position get annoyed thats £10 million loss to them, it all adds up - Charles Dunstone wake up, more and more personal customers are going to deprive you of your corporate influence. I loved handing the business to a rival. £15000 more expensive, but worth the respect and the customer service I got and continue to get. I give you ten years tops!


Shocking customer service
Their 'work out working' service is a joke. Their Geek Squad know nothing and a customer service manager promised to ring me back and never did. They offer dreadful customer service and I recommend that you go anywhere else apart from them.

i took out a contract with cpw over a year ago for internet and a net book i had asked for enough useage to watch tv on the internet and paying bills and general internet browsing. i took it all home and straight away the internet did not work. took it back they said it works here it might be the signal where you live also if i use it for iplayer its not in my contract so i would get a massive bill so dont use it for that(first annoyance). they said take it home and try it in a different room. didnt work took it back again! they said i should go hme and some one from the network provider will call me between 9 and 11am to test the signal so went home and waited (had to take morning off work) no one called so i called them spoke to my network provider who said there is no such thing and they can check the signal strength in store which they should do at the sale he even sent me an email of this in writing to back me up. so i went back AGAIN and the manager was rude didnt care at all forced him to check signal it was poor and even said himself it shouldnt have been sold to me he passed the buck and told me only the network provider can cancel the contract so went home and again phoned my network provider they said only cpw can cancel went back they disagreed and basically wanted me out of the shop as i was crying with frustration that no one would help me left sent two letters nearly two years later no contact still no internet but they are still get paid. im paying for cpw to stay in buisness and recieving nthing back con!!!!! and to all the employees saying you should read your contract you should make sure the people who are paying your wages understand what they are signing and not to make a quick sale for a bonus but maybe if you did that people wouldnt sign!!!!!!!!!

Bought a payg pfone from them and it didnt work. I took it to get repaired and after saying it would take 2 weeks and it took 5. Got it back and it still has the same problem. I took t back today and the man said that the sd card was the problem not the phone, which i know for a fact isnt true as it worked in a different phone. Having called the branch earlier i was informed that i would get a refund or replacement. I went to the shop and was told neither were available. Bullshit.

i recently enquired about a contract and was offered sim only on T-Mobile i took it, then 2 days later the sales man who sold it me, said great news vodafone have accepeted u for bb and tv, sending me the stuff out, ive received but no signal, phoning them for 11 hours to finally find i failed the credit check, and that i'd have to PAY for the TV & PHONE?? ermm no - ive been advised that it was there fault and that i can legally keep the stuff, but they say ill receive a bill.. 2 days later i receive a further email, saying my orders on way.. i ring up only to find a further TV and BB is on its way?? another cock up? or scam?

Very bad CPW experiences ...
I've been a CPW customer since 1999, but three experiences in recent months mean I will be going elsewhere in future: (1) I took out a two contract on a tariff promising 'unlimited text messages'. To my surprise I found I was being billed for the text messages I was sending ... When I complained I was told that my tariff "didn't include unlimited FREE text messages" but rather that "the usual limit of 10,000 messages per day does not apply"! Surely that's a misrepresentation of their product. (2) After being bombarded with text messages and unwanted for months I decide to cave in and take them up on their offer of a "free" upgrade to my phone. So I go into their Paignton branch and immediately ask if I'll need to sign another contract to get the new phone. I'm told that I won't. So I go through a tortuous half-hour process of finding a handset that I want along with a case for it. Then - you've guessed it - I found a contract given to me to sign ... When I objected I was told that it was actually an 'upgrade agreeement'. It was a contract - I had been lied to ... I just walked out. (3) This is the worst one. My contract had expired and I wanted a new one that included internet access. To get a comparable phone along with internet access I had to upgrade to a tariff that cost me nearly twice as much as I was already paying. I figured that the internet use would make it worthwhile. Looking at the contract before signing I could see no mention of the internet use but the salesman assured me that it was included ... Sure enough - one month later I found myself landed with a massive bill - over three times what it would have been if I hadn't 'upgraded'. I'm now left with a phone that's almost identical to the one I already had and a tariff that offers nothing new except a standard charge of almost twice as much. Carphone refuse to help me despite selling me the wrong tariff. I've been a customer since 1999, I've worked for them (alongside Charles Dunstone for a short while) and I will NEVER be their customer again. Chris

If YOU don't read the terms and conditions before signing a contract then YOUR an IDIOT, you must understand that we are a broker, we honestly try and find the best deal and phone for you, unlike phones 4 u who are commission based and properly fuck you over. All of your issues can be resolved but when you twats come into store when a genuine mistake has probably been made and shout you stupid mouths off why would we bend over backwards to fuckin help you ......rant over, i wish i had the time in my life to create a website like this surely theres more you could be doing with your life losers xx

i got sold a vodafone contract with an iphone, i was so pleased at how quickly CPW set up my account and had the phone delivered to me within 24 hours.. set it up only for the sim to not activate, went instore to ask for assistance and the guy told me that i had to wait up to 72 hours for activation until they could do anything, after 4 days i was so irratated that i phoned vodafone myself to ask what the problem was with the sim. no one at vodafone knew who i was (my account, not personally) after speaking to 3 people they finally traced it back to the fact that i didnt have an account with vodafone as they had denied my credit-check. now i have a fucking iphone4 that techincally shouldnt be mine at all... heading out to carphone warehouse now to fucking punch someone, jesus christ!

Lol I worked for them for over 5 years (cheers for the out of date hamper for 5 years service lol) All the people saying you should read the small print; that's what sales people are supposed to explain to you before you sign lol if you take the money take the responsibility for what your doing! People get worked up because they get the run around (store .v. call center sound familiar?!) and carrrrra it's a common system issue; if you don't complain no one will do anything (including charging you as the contract never made it to Vodafone so you have a free handset .... happier now?

carephonewarehouse are scum, they ring you with a 0800 number pretending to be o2, even though 02 dont have 0800 numbers, o2 have apparentley given them permission to say there o2, so its like letting a pick pocket into the locker room, also there shops train there staff to not give refunds and to fob people off so the shop can scrape the maximum greed, they really are the scum of the earth, how these scumbags ever got in with o2 and permission to bullshit and pretend there 02 i dont know, they ask if the o2 service is ok, then bullshit you into another contract then when you get your bill its twice the minthly rental !

I bought an iphone 4 with them on a £26 a month contract. When I put the sim in it didn't work and they were aware of this issue. I had to pay the £10 to replace the sim and then had to wait a week for a cheque that took days to clear. Even though I signed a £26 a month contract I was being charged £36 (this is not including extras i.e. picture messages)I went back to cpw who said they had sorted the situation.. they hadn't I had to ring the network myself.. shit service. Trying to get a working sim took 2 hours out of my day and the retard that originally served me took 45 minutes because she didn't understand that a street name is compulsory when doing the credit check. To all the employees that are arguing innocence in cpw. Why? They would not show you the same loyalty you are dispensable to them, you need no qualifications to work for them. A 16 year old could/is allowed do your job. Customers do read the T&Cs I would not enter a contract without doing so, but they have not stuck to their terms, not all customers are idiots, you are.

Fucking dickheads
I got a Samsung Galaxy S3 from one of their many online stores. 6 months into the contract the phone suddenly died when I was shopping in Tesco. I called them up and they asked me to take it to their shop for repair. Biggest mistake. The girl who works there knows nothing about phones, when I told her I cannot even put into download mode and there are hundreds of s3's dying suddenly and news all over the internet she pretended it was news for her. She just kept repeating they wont cover liquid damage. Should have been a clue for me to no hand over the phone to them. Now after 2 weeks I have been told they cannot repair it (I am not surprised, morons dont know a thing about phones) and there is liquid damage! Biggest fucking lie they keep telling everyone. They just show they have attempted repair and collect money from samsung sony or any other manufacturer. Dont know morons what other damage they have done to my phone will have to collect it. will sue the knobheads, will take them to small claims court.

a bunch of cunts - staff are thick, disinterested drones and customer service is non- existent. I suggest ringing their freephone number now and then just to cost them a few pence.
